This is a project for the first semester of my degree in university. We were required to design a maximum of three A3 summary pages that will convert to three A4 paper aeroplanes. The summary pages are also included in this post. This project aims to explore vector oriented drawing software in an applied design context; hence we used Adobe Illustrator in creating our designs based on a theme.

The theme I had chosen is "Seasons." Here is the theme proposal:

Some parts of the world experience four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn, winter. The design of the paper planes will be inspired by spring, summer, and autumn. The top of the three paper planes will be designed with different types of leaves familiar during each season, for example, palm leaves for summer. When the paper plane opens, it will show a scene designed for each season.

Firstly, leaves start to grow, and flowers begin to bloom during spring. It is the season when the beauty of nature reaches its peak. One of the best ways to appreciate this unmatched beauty is to have a picnic in nature. Hence, a scene of a picnic will be designed for spring. For summer, the scene will take place at a pool as people want to swim or have a sunbath in the hot weather. Last but not least, as the weather gets cooler in autumn, some would prefer to have a cup of coffee and some freshly-baked pastries at a café for some warmth. With this, the setting for autumn will be at a café.
