Packaging Design (Physical Mock-up)
This is a packaging I designed for candles of a made-up company called Flairer. The concept of this design is Spring season. I chose the citrus fruits as a representation as the trees bloom during spring season. Not only that, the warm colours of the fruit also express the joyfulness and excitement of spring as the cycle of life starts in spring.

This box has an extra flap which I, then, punched a hole onto it. My idea is to have the packaging to include with a scent bag (much like a tea bag) which carries small amount of the ingredients used to create the scented candles. When shopping for scented candles, customers are not able to smell the scent of the candles without lighting them up, which is not possible as they have not made their purchase. Hence, the scent bag can guide the customers in selecting the scent they prefer.

I used a 300gsm watercolour paper to create this packaging and used watercolour to paint the graphics. Overall, I am really satisfied with the results as the packaging is a balance of harmony, dynamism and contrast. The visual elements and contrasting pop of colours are enough to snatch one’s attention while the harmonious and neat overall design also carry a calming façade.
